A series of tree book covers fresh of the press for Cappelen Damm publishing.
These are three childrens books written by Jon Ewo, about the genious inventor Leonardo, and his even more genious assistant Petra Propp. I had alot of fun working on these!

And, yes, the deadly skull cloud on the middle book is in fact a deadly dog fart.
Ah, I love my job!

One of todays thrift treasures. This is definetly one of the coolest things I`ve found at my local thrift market. A school chart with skulls, bats and a kangaroo. What is the connection here? Are they related? I had no idea. It will hang in my home studio to give endless inspiration. :)

Preparing for this years Designers Christmas market, Rune and I decided to make some brooches and necklaces in 3D based on some of my sketchbook illustrations and then get them printed.

Rune did an amazing job modeling my 2D illustrations into 3D models!

So now the 3D prints are arriving in little boxes from different printers all over the world.
We are testing out different 3D printer places to see who gives the best quality and price.
When we get them all, we are going to make a silicon mold of them, and then cast new resin versions of them to use as pendants or brooches. So cool to see my designs in 3D like that, magic!!

Sorry for the log absence guys! I can report that all is fine and dandy in Happymeat land. :)
May was filled with deadlines, and in june I took a really long and relaxing vacation away from my computer. We went to visit friends and relatives, relax at our cabin in the woods, taking long swims in the lake there, garage sale shopping, cake eating, barbecuing, eating super sweet black cherries from the trees behind my grandmothers house, and loads more.
It`s good to feel the batteries filling up for winter.








We also went to the allotment gardens and "ooh" and "aah"`ed over the beautiful little houses and the fruit and veggie filled gardens. Yes, I am an old lady, ha ha.
Next year I`ll fill my balcony with beans, herbs, salads and tomatoes, and hopefully I will get a nice crop by next fall.

Oh, well back to business. I have a big show coming up in september here in Oslo that I am currently working on. Details on that will be published later this week.

My contribution to the upcoming Varsko! U exhibition in Trondheim this sunday.
The works will be printed on canvas in 95 x 97 cm size. The photographer is Øyvind Haug, and all the additional graphics are done with black and red Bic ballpoint pens. The theme of the exhibition is "U".

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the exhibition myself, but hopefully pictures of the exhibition will be up on the Varsko! flickr site.
