Chocolate lover chopping board 01/27/2012
These are the pictures of my new "chocolate lover" chopping board that soon will be available in my shop. My first batch of them sold out first two weeks in december even before I got to list them in my shop, but now a new batch is on it`s way and I thought I`d give you a little peak. The board is two sided, and the back has a retro 50s pattern inspired by the wallpaper in my grandparents guest bedroom that I used to look at before I went to sleep when I stayed there. The back side of the product care hangtag also has the same pattern and is made to look like a mini version of the board. :) For my non-norwegian blog readers out there I`give you a little translation of the text. It is based on an old norwegian/danish nursery rhyme, but rewritten a bit and goes like this: Look at my dress it is to small Everything I own is like that That is because I love chocolate and because potatochips are my friend. Top two photos are by Camilla Guldbrandsen of Ludoland. You can check out her blogpost about the board here. Add Comment The Holland cutting board. 01/25/2012
My new "Holland" cutting board is available in my shop! It is inspired by my many trips to the Netherlands and my love for cheese and windmills. :) The board is made of laminated MDF, is moisture and heat resistant, and also works very well as a trivet. Go check it out! :) Designernes eget julemarked 11/28/2011

Mr. Link goes to Paris 11/21/2011
Earlier this year I participated in the missing link research project at the Berlin Pictoplasma conference. And now he got picked to be exhibited along with the other 500 contributions at the upcoming Pictoplasma exhibition 7-11. december in Paris, at the new museum la Gaîté Lyrique! So if you are in Paris, go say hi to him and all the other missing links there. I just know the exhibition will be wonderful. :) Wooden birds 11/16/2011
New products for the shop! Just in time for Christmas I`ve now lasercut some birds out of scandinavian birch veneer, gocco printed some of them, and stained them with a walnut varnish. They will be for sale at Designernes eget Julemarked at the 3rd and 4th of december at DogA here in Oslo, and will also be listed in my webshop around the same time. November sketches 11/08/2011
Winter has just started, yet I already dream of flowers and green leaves. So I thought I`d upload some flower sketches from my red sketchbook that I drew this summer to cheer myself up a bit. And also there are some very exiting products coming in my webshop soon, hopefylly by the end of november, just in time for christmas. Yay! Dinamo 10 years! 11/04/2011
One of my favorite clients Dinamo just celebrated their ten year anniversary, and asked me together with nine others to contribute an illustration for limited edition t-shirts that were to be exhibited at their celebration party. Of course I loved their theme and idea, and the result was this cat and mouse spelling "Ti" (norwegian for ten) with semaphore flags. Two of my favorites of all the contributions were the Beatnik drummer by Mikael Eriksson and the motorcycle guy by Bjørn Rune Lie. The other contributers were Robin Snasen Rengård, Levi Bergqvist, Cecilie & Gilles, Simen Grankel, Tonje Jæger, Kristine Five Melvær, and Henrik Tandberg. Eight magazine 10/10/2011
In june I was asked to contribute to the next Eight magazine. Eight magazine is a free magazine published throughout the Netherlands and in Copenhagen by HUB footwear to promote new artists. The magazine is in international A3 size and all the illustrations are ready to be cut out and framed to be put on your wall. Really nice idea for a free magazine I think. The theme in this issue was "the city where you live", and the city name had to be incorporated into the illustration. And another thing I really love is that Killian Eng is on the opposite side of the spread. I remember first seeing his amazing work as a jury member at Kolla some years ago. We all loved it so much, and unanimously awarded him the gold award in the student category. I would strongly recommend to check out his work here, here and here. Also check out the other very talented contributors Jordy Van Den Nieuwendjik, Oliver Bierauge, Gwènola Carrère, Oliver Hofmann, Philipp Dornbierer and Miss Lotion. Come and play! 09/08/2011
Photos copyright Marie Kristiansen. Lisbeth Bjørndal the founder of barnigjen.no just did this amazing makeover using our fabrics in a little playhouse in her garden. I absolutely love what she has done with the fabrics, and she even crocheted the little hamburger on the stove, and fruits and cupcakes on the table! Go check out her site barnigjen.no for more of her beautiful creations. Fabrics can be bought by the meter here, and I`ve put up more photos of the makeover on my Flickr here. | AuthorI love to draw and always bring my sketchbook with me.
